In
order to get as close as possible
to meet the customers needs,
an external shell was developed
following the concept of being
able to transfer the shell
from one truck to another
in the shortest period of
time. This concept was developed
for all “Flat Face” trucks.
The same concept could be
applied to most trucks from
various manufacturers by simply
adjusting (some restrictions
may apply) the dimensions
to produce a new cage.
Add on shell with a “360 degree
Level B6 or above protection”
Assembled & Installed
over the Original Cabin.
Easy to Install (5
ton Fork Lift / Crane) in
less than 90 minutes.
Easy to replace.
Basic inspection made easy.
Radiator
water top ups.
Brake
fluid refill.
Removal
of entire radiator with out
taking out the outer shell
off.
ALL AREAS WILL MEET OR EXCEED
B6 ARMORING SPECIFICATIONS

“Our Design Team have specially
taken into account the need
for a structure that can accommodate
the weight of the ballistic
steel plates & ballistic
glass; utilizing a minimal
amount of weight.”

BALLISTIC
PLATES (SSAB
of Sweden)
SSAB is one of the biggest
steel producers in the
world, developing, producing
and selling high grade
steel. Every lot of
ballistic steel produced
is 100% tested at Beschussamt
Mellrichstadt in Germany,
receiving a quality
certificate.
SSAB produces the best
high resistance steel
in the world for a wide
range of applications.
SSAB is committed to
their customers by providing
all necessary support
to find the best possible
solution for their customer’s
requirements.
Estimated total weight
of shell 1,690kg
Estimated total weight
of glass B6 for 500kg
Windshield and Driver
+ Passenger windows
designed with Egress
system
Estimated total weight
of ballistic steel B6
900kg
Estimated weight of
woven Aramida mats for
150kg
ballistic floor protection
for driver and passenger*
Miscellaneous weight
(connectors, mirrors,
bolts, etc…) 140kg
*The woven aramida mats
as mentioned above are
capable of providing
protection from an I.E.D.
equivalent to 2.5kg
of TNT (Anti-Vehicle
Mine).
These mats are placed
in the driver and passenger
foot wells to provide
complete protection
to the
driver and passenger.
EGRESS
SYSTEM
An
Egress system was
designed as a useful
and effective tool
for quickly and easily
escaping from the
vehicle in the case
of an emergency.
The Egress system
has been installed
for both the passenger
and driver side windows
with the following
dimensions:
816mm x 671mm / 27.5”
x 33.3”
The Egress System
was tested with an
individual who stands
6’2” tall and weighing
220lbs. Please review
the pictures below
and you will be able
to see how easy it
is for an individual
to escape from the
vehicle.
We have the distinct
advantage of manufacturing
our own ballistic
glass,
which allows us to
maintain complete
quality control over
all aspects of production.
The outer shell connection
method allows for
quick and easy installation
as well as removal
of the “Shell”. In
the event that you
do not require, to
have armor on all
of your vehicles all
of the time a possible
solution would be
to install the Connectors
on the entire fleet,
which would then allow
for easy installation
of a “cage” with a
minimal amount of
time and effort on
only the vehicles
that immediately require
armor. With a minimal
amount of training,
the estimated time
for installing and
or removing the entire
“Shell” is less than
90 minutes. The only
required items would
be either a 5 Ton
Fork Lift or Crane
and a basic set of
mechanics tools.

In an attempt to maintain
the utmost drivability
of the vehicle we
designed a system
that would limit the
amount of vibration
as well as to counter
any pendulum effect
that the vehicle may
encounter due to the
added weight. Our
engineers placed 4
heavy-duty shock absorbers
installed between
the Shell and the
connectors, which
have the effect of
keeping the vibration
and any pendulum effect
to a minimum.
| Spares
can be warehoused
by us based on
your requirements.
Additional
back up spares
can be supplied
along with the
“ Armored Shell
”. |
